THE SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

In the Sailors' Friendly Society's Room, a pleasing concert was given last night, when the Wellington Amateur Choral Society entertained a large audience. J'nrfc of (.lie evening was devoted to an amusing conundrum competition, which was won by sailors from vessels in port. Selections by tlio Glee Party wcro much appreciated. Items wore Riven by: Mr. Stark., Misses Hooper, Watkins, Mueller, Halliburton, Messrs. Cnlvorwoll, lirynnt, Bishop. Travcrs, Mason, Nash, Harvey, and Davis (s.s. Pakelin). The accompanists were Misses Hardie and Behvortliy. At the conclusion a vote of thanks was moved by the missioner and responded to by Mr. Nash.
