, A meeting of the General Purposes Committeo of the Council of the Clydoadale Horse Society was held in the society's office, Crawford Street. Dunodin, on Thursday last. There were present: Mr. t James Gow, vice-presi-dent, in the ohair; and ilessr's. W. J. J. Charters and J. A. Johnstone. The following were elected members of ■ -Khe"society:—Messrs. D. E.
