Sydney, April 25. Eccleston Frederic Du Faur, F.11.G.5., president of the Art Gallery, is dead.

[Tlie late E. F. Du Faur was ljorn in London in 1832, and was educated at Harrow. Ho is described as a line old colonist of New South Wales. He became president of the National Art Gallery of New South Wales in 1892, and was one of the original trustees appointed in 1874. He did much to foster a national regard for art. He sent out a private expedition in 1874 in search of remains of Leich'hardt.]
