WINTER SPORTS
ALLOCATION OF: CITY GROUNDS. The Reserves Sub-Committee of the City Council made the following allocation of grounds on city reserves on Saturday morning, subject to revision by the Reserve Committee:—
Anderson Park: Football Association, 2 grounds.
Kelburn Park: Rugby Union 1 Rugby League 1.
Basin Reserve: Football Association 1, Lacrosse Association 1.
Newtown Park: Rugby League 1, Hockey Association 1 ;,one ground olosed for improvements.
Wakefield Park : Rugby Union i. Football Association 2.
ICilbirnie Reserve (one ground): Foot, ball Association to 3 p.m.; Hockey Association after 3 p.m.
Day's Bay: Hockey Association (rent not fixed).-
Another ground may possibly be obtained on Kilbirnie Reserve, and • this will bo dealt with later.
The fee formerly fixed for the use of grounds was ten guineas for one day's play per week throughout the season. During last season this fee was reduced to five guineas. What the fee for the coming season will be has not yet been considered by the Reserves Committee. One of the first duties of the new Reserves Committee will be to decide this matter.
