BACK FROM SAMOA
WELLINGTON MEN AT AUCKLAND.
(By Telephone—Special Correspondent.) Auckland, April 25, midniglit. Thirteen, sappers—nine of the Wellington (oth) Regiment—returned from garrison duty at Samoa hy the Union Company's steamer Atua at 10.30 o'clock to-night. The men are: — Wellington (sth) Regiment:—Sergeant W. J. Duff; Corporals J. Simm and J. H. M'Call; Lance-Corporals J. Thompson and A. B. Smith; Privates A. \V. Allan, G. S. T. Harden, H. 6: lieese, and D. H. Mitchell. Third Auckland liniment:—Privates J. G. Garland, B. J. Hannah, und J. B. Henderson. Railway Engineers:—Sapper J. Hiddlestone.
The men are in excellent health. Tliey have returned from choice, and state that they were glad to seo the last of Samoa. They leave for Trenthara Gamp by Monday night's express.
