WANDERING GERMAN/CREW, (Rec. April 26, 0.20 a.m.)

Amsterdam, April 24. Turkish headquarters state that Arabs attacked the Aycsha's crew while' inarching in the desert from Lidd to the south of Jeddah. They fought for three days, when the Arabs wore driven off. The Germans lost a lieutenant and two men killed and three wounded. The latter have been placed in hospital in Jeddah. _ A German official wireless had already stated that tho crew had reached Damascus before March 1, and there was no mention of an attack. [Tho Ayesha was the vessel seized by the landing party from the Eniden wliilo the latter was being battered by H.M.A.S; Sydney.]
