LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held their usual weekly sale at Solway on Wednesday, when there was the usual attendance, and a fair yarding of stock, for which there was only a, limited demand. However, practically a total clearance was made at the following prices Empty ewes, 135.; f.m. and r.w. Down rams, lis. 6d., to 13a.

However, we arc pleased to report a good clearance at tho following rates: Three and 4-year bullocks, £7 15s. od.; 2J-yeer. steers, £5 ss. to £6;' 18-mouths and 2-year steers, £3 to £4 12s. 6d.; weaner steers, da. to £2 10s.: cow and calves, £3 156. to £5 65., fat cows, £5 10s., £5 155., £6 to £6 10s.; forward store ■ cows, '£4, £4 ss„ £4 10s. to £5 2s. 6d„ backward ditto, £2 10s. to £3 10s.; weaner heifers, '15s. to 325. 6d.
