Petrograd, April 23. Official.—Austrian night attacks at Telephoez were repulsed, and' the Russians, counter-attacking with the bayonet, drove back the enemy with heavy losses.
BREAD RIOTS AT TRIESTE
AUSTRIAN MOB' RUNS AMOK.
noma, April 22. Rioting was renewed in Trieste on Wednesday, as a sequel to a summons to arms of all males from eighteen to fifty years of ago. Several thousand women led the rioters to the Governor's palace, shrieking: "We want bread! Give us back onr husbands and sons!" When the Governor threatened to call out the troops, the mob ran amok, breaking the windows of tho Austrian shops and wrecked the fashionable Palace a ] ar g e steamer about to leave with eight hundred tons of food for the Cattaro garrison. Tho crew escaped.
