BRITISH, ECONOMICAL. MODERATE"PRICED SPLENDIDLY-FINISHED— THE NEW HUMBEE, IMPROVED MODEL.

As most people are now aware, there is at present a difficulty in' obtaining shipments of motor-cars from Britain, owing to the big oontracts placed with the automobile firms by the British and Allies' War Offices. We have been exceptionally fortunate in assuring the delivery, during the next two or three months, of a number of the latest model 10.33 h.p. Ilumber touring cars. Two of these cars, the advance-guard of further aid much larger shipments, have just been delivered at our CUristchurch gavage ex 6.5. lonic. One of these has been sold, and the other is still on view. It is a,beautifully finished four-seater car, the; body colour being n rich warm brown, and the fittings plated. A neater or more refinedJooking car has never been imported to this country. Although light—tho weight ready for the road is but IScwt.—tho car is of standard wheel gauge', and the seats are of ample width. The car is remarkably economical in running. Mr. S. R. Stednian, our Dunedin agent, who has sold about fifty Humbers, and who has driven tho first of tho 10-23 h.p. four-seater Humbers landed her© over 15,000 miles, reports to us that the car has averaged. 31 miles to the gallon'of petrol, and ?100 miles to the gallon of lubricating oil. The cost of running per mile, including petrol, lubricating oil and depreciation of tyres, has been estimated at under lid. Although so economical the car is a grand hill-climber, and capable of a speed of up to 50 miles an hour on the- fiat. Tho prico of this car, completely equipped and I'eady for tho road, with five SaiiKey detachable wheels, shod with Michelin tyres, C.A.V-. olectric lighting set with acetylene headlights, hood, wind-screen, Smith clock, and Jones speedometer, tools, etc., is .£125. With complete C.A.Y*. electric I lighting set (head, side, and tail lamps), tho price is .£433, and with complelo C.A.V. eleotrio lighting set and selfstarter, the prico is JM-15.
