ALLEGED EXPLICATION

A MERCHANT'S EVIDENCE. (Bj Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christchurch, April 22. Mr. Andrew Fairbairn, merchant, has sent to the local newspapers a copy of his evidence given before' the Food Prices Commission. He says : "If the evidence is true, the finding of- the Commission is unwarranted. If > the evidence is false, I should be' prosecuted for perjury." He says Mr. Massey has asked the Commission to investigate alleged cases of, exploitation, and he is prepared to substantiate on oath every charge made in Mb evidence, provided the proceedings are uncensored and open to the public and the Press.
