London, April 22. Mr. Fred. T. Jane, the naval expert, speaking at Liverpool, said: "Wo woro once very near, an invasion,, but the Navy saved ns. There was never a word in tho newspapers. If it should happen that we should lose sevoral Dreadnoughts, we must trust the Admiralty."
