RIFLE-SHOOTING

HUTT VALLEY GUN CLUB. The monthly shoot of the Hutt Valley Gun Club was held at Taita on Wednesday, _ wheu the events decided were a live-bird sweepstake and two 15 claybird events, one of the latter being for a club trophy and the other a sweepstake. The live-bird event was won by S. Edwards (2oyds.), J. Brasell (27yds.), A. Scott (25yds.), and S. Scott (24yds.) dividing second money. The clay-bird sweepstake was won by W. Kilmister off 11yds., who shot 14 out of 15, while the leading scores in the trophy event wero as follow: —A. Scott (17yds.), 13 out of 15; E. Flux (loyds.), 13 out of 15; W. Meager (11yds.), 13 out of 15; G. M. Williams (Byds.), 13 out of 15. G. M. Williams won in the shoot-off.
