M Burnside 206 fat cattle were yarded. The entry was in excess of raiuiTemcnts, and competition -was not keen, the close of tho Eele bidding be-.ame a littlo brisker. The yarding generally was of medium quality, and a good number of pens were passed unsold. Prices showed a. §££ of 10S to 15s. per head, as cpmpwed with last week. The yarding for. the most part consisted of medium and inferior quality ewes, very few pens of really prime sheep conung forward A large number held over from last week were included in to-days entry. Really prime sheep sold at about last week 6 rates, but for medium and inferior nuality nrices showed a decline of about 2s. per head, and in some cases even more. A f?aod many nens of this class failed, to elicit bids, as the yaiding _was in excoK of butchers' requirements. Very few stores oame forward, and this accounted for a slight.lmprovement in the demand.
