UPPER HUTT COURT
The monthly sitting of the Upper Hutt Magistrate's Court was held yesterday before Mr. G. Cruicksliank, S.M. For allowing stock to wander, Charles Johnson was fined 35., with costs 75., and Alfred Southey £1, with co6ts as in the first case.
In tho undermentioned civil cases judgment was given for plaintiffs by default Upper Hutt Town Board v. Allan Jl'Mahon, 17s. 3d., costs 55.; same v. J. M'Mahon, £1 ss. 10d., costs 55.; same v. M. DohertT, 13s. 9d., costs os. same v. M. Fletcher, £4 13. 6d., costs os.; P. Robertson v. A. Southey, £4 365. 10s., costs 55.; same v. A. Hooper, £1 3s. 2<1., costs 55.; same v. Robert Whiteman, £3, costs lis.
In' a judgment summons case, George H. Bevans v. James' Guilfoyle, a claim for £25 95., defendant was ordered to pay 10s. per week, tlio first payment to be made on May o.
The Commercial Agency (assignees for Mrs. E. M. Butler) proceeded against Peter Jensen to recover £19 for rent and damage to property. _ Mr. J. S. Barton appeared for plaintiff and Mr. H. F. Aysou for defendant. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £15, with cost«.
