S.P.C.A.

SUFFERING HORSES IN WAR TIME. The fortnightly meeting of the committee of the Society for the Prevention .of Cruelty to Animals was held last night. Mr. V. R. Meredith presided. A. letter was received from a private source, suggesting that the secretary raise subscriptions for the alleviation of the suffering of horses in war time. During the discussion that followed it was stated that the R.S.P.C.A. at Home, along with other societies, specially formed for the purpose, were doing great work in this direction.
