A further advanco in the wholesale mice .of standard, brands of butter will be made in Auckland to-morrow, the rate having been raised by the Dairy Produce Association from Is. 3Jd., last Wednesday's price, to Is. 4d. lie. retail price will be increased from ls.i sd. to Is. 6d. per lb. ' The rising .tendency of local values is due to -the demand for supplies by Victorian merchants. Their first : purchases a week' ago set a standard of Is. 3d. per lb. as tho value: of local stocks, and as: the. consignments by the Maneno to-day amounted to' about 1700 boxes, : representing .purchases on the basis of Is. 3Jd. f.jJ>. there has again been a sympathetic advance in values. ... ~; ■
