Two of thfio oaTs, the advance-guard of further ana .much larger shipments, have just been delivered, at our Christchurch garage ex 6.5. lonic. One of these has been sold, and the other is still on view. It is a beautifully finished four-seater car, the body colour-being a ■ rich ■ warm brown, and tho fittings plated. A neater or more refined-looking car has never been imported to this country. Although light—tho weight ready for the road is but IScwt.—the car is of standard wheel gauge, and >tho seats are of aiuplo width. . The ear is remarkably economical in running. Mr. S. R. Stednian, our Punodin agent, who has wld about fifty Humbers, and who has driven the first of the 10-23 h.p. four-seater Humbers landed here over 15,000 miles, tcpoi-ts to us that the car has averaged 't miles to the gallon of petrol, and ?100 miles to the gallon of lubricating oil, The cost of running per mile, including petrol, lubricating oil and depreciation of tyrea, has been estimated at under ' ljd. Although so economical the car is a grand hill-climber, and capable of a speed of up to 50 miles an hour on the flat. The price of this car, completely equipped and ready for the road, with five Sankcy detachable wheels, shod with Michelin tyres, C.A.V. electric lighting set with acetylene headlights, hood, wind-screen, Smith clock, and Jones speedometer, tools otc., is X 125. With complete C.A.V. rlectrlc lighting set (head, side, and tail lamps), the price is JH33; and with' complete C.A.V. electric lighting set and selfstarter, tho price is -£445.
