DESPERATE FIGHTING
RUSSIANS INFLICT HEAVY LOSSES, (Reo. April 19, 0.5 a.m.) Petrograd, April 17. Official.—There has been desperate fighting in the Carpathians between the villages of-Telepoyce and Zuelle. TVa took 1140 prisoners and captured three machine-guns. The enemy suffered heavy, losses. _ We successfully repulsed _ the enemy in the direction of Stryj, where the Austrians were attempting the turning of tie Russian left flank.
