PETONE V. SUBURBS The annual teams' matches bet-ween the Petone Rifle Club and Suburbs Club was fired on Saturday. The clubs' No. 1 teams- fired at the Petone range at Waiwetu, and the No. 2 teams at Trentham. The weather on Saturday was ideal • for large scores. The best score in the No. 1 match was put up by H. Boon, who notched on 101, and was closely followed by his club-mate, A. J. Jackson, with 100. Then came A. S. BalLinger and H. R. Hunt, with. OS apiece. The only possiblo in this match was bv F. M'Donald at 300 yards. Several 34's wore registered during the afternoon. The Suburbs ten on Saturday put up a great Bcore, their total for ten men being 951, which stands at 95 1-10 per man. The Petone team were without the services of Jajnea M'Lachlan and T. Warburton. J. L. Turner shot for Petone in M'Lachlan's place, and an average score was struck for Warburton, so as to make the match complete. Alter the match, ' Mr. Arthur Ballinger thanked tho Suburbs team for their visit, and congratulated them on their win and fine score, the score that'.afternoon being the largest for ten men ;ever put up on. the Waiwetu range. The DeputyPresident in returning thanks assured the 'members of the Petone Club that this match was always looked forward to by his club as one; of the happiest matcnes of the season. The visitors were entertained to afternoon tea, which was .in the .capable hands of Mr. J. Clout. No. 2 match was fired a,t Trentham. The highest score in this match was by W. M. Jackson, iun., with 94, which was closely followed by G. Hogg with 91, and F. L. Norris with 90. the only possible in this match was by A. C. Bellamore at 500 yards. This match was fought to an exciting finish, the Suburbs winning by 2 points. After the match President Graham thanked the Petone Club for the pleasant afternoon the.v provided, and the close finish. President Flaws congratulated the Suburbs on their win, and spoke, of the good feeling that existed between the two clubs, which he hoped would long remain. The scores were as follow:— NO. 1 TEAMS. Total 267 278 273 819 C.A.G.: GUP COMPETITION. At Trentham on Saturday afternoon, under ideal, weather coioitions, the Karori Club held its final trophy shoot for the seasons 1914-15. The match fired was the second and final stage in the C.A.V. cup competition. The cup, a fifty-guinea trophy, won outright by the club in the field firing competitions of the D.R.A., is 'at present held by Sergeant J. G. Faulkner, A.S.C., now in Egypt. Major H. Marshall, who won the trophy on Saturday , for the second time, notched the highest score yet made in the competition, viz., 185. The winner, who has been shooting considerably below form during the past two seasons, put up ail excellent score on Saturday, including a possible at 500 yards. Rflmn. J. Bums also had a' fossible at this range. A J usual, RBmn. W. Ching was top scorer for the day with a solid 97.

At the conclusion, of Saturday's shoot, Major H. Marshall, on behalf of ] the Easter touring team, presented Rflmn. E. W. Daniel with a silver hot water jug. Rflmn.
