, THE FOURTH IN TOWN. , . Inotier section of the -Fourth Reintorcements came -to' town yesterday . morning.; This consisted of the Mounted Infantry -and the Field Engineers, altogother splendid lot of men, whose . appearance in column made quite a stir ■ in the city streets between; 11.15 a.m. and noon. The mounted men are .a strapping, hard-conditioned lot of horseImon, and on the whole the horseflesh .was good. f: ' Each man carried a full personal field equipment—bandolier, "rifle, cap, greatcoat, and watep-bottle— from that point of view there was nothing ,to be desired. This is the first occasion on which New Zealand has sent a fully-equipped Engineers' Company, and, the long train of pontoons ;(iwo), big 'wagons, and tool carts made an impressive show as it. rattled over the wood-blocks.
