The estimate of tho war expenditure till the end of June was 10i millions; this had already gone, and the estimate would be exceeded to the extent of 6}' millions. , !A motion against increasing the sal. Aries of civil servants receiving over£3oo a year during the war was nega* tired. Mr. Fisher aaid that the Government lhad decided that a percenta<ra reduction would be inadvisable. •
