WHEAT SUPPLIES IN NEW SOUTH WALES
Sydney, April 16. The Minister for Agriculture now says that the supply of seed wheat and fodder is ample for the State's demand. He anticipates a record wheat acreage and a record crop, including that from 25,000 acres comprised in the Government experimental farms. THE WHEAT WE BORROWED. Mf. Hall, State 'Attorney-General, states that the New Zealand and Tasmanian Governments have been asked to return the wheat they borrowed from New South Wales. While the legality of the Wheat Act was being considered, farmers had held back grain, but a spurt had now taken plaoo in the arrival of wheat at the milling centres. He attributes the slackness of some of tho mills to the smallness of the harvest compared with that of previous yeara. BIG QUEENSLAND CROP IN SIGHT. Brisbane, April 16. The Agricultural Department anticipates that the Queensland wheat orop next year will greatly exceed that of previous yields. It is expected that the wheat area will bo 255,000 acres, .an increaso. of nearly 100,000 acres.
