ALLIANCE CONVENTION

CONCLUDING PROCEEDINGS. Tho Now Zealand Alliance Dominion Convention concluded its session in Wellington yesterday, Mr. Wesley Spragg, retiring president, being in the chair. Mr. MacDormott, of Auckland, introduced the subject of pledge-signing, and it was resolved to carry on a vigorous campaign in that direction. The Rev. 7!. S. Gray, of Dunedin, was elected president, and most of the retiring officers wero re-elected. The Convention passed a motion expressing loyalty to the King, and great gratification at the attitude which His Majesty is taking nn with respect to the drink traffic at Home.
