LIVE STOCK SALES.
\ Messrs. W. and 6. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in their Waipoua (Masterton) yards on Wednesday. A good, yarding of sheep and cattle came forward as advertised, and was offered. Competition throughout the sale was animated, especially for good ewes iamb, wethers, and lambs, but poorer sorts * were hard to quit. There was a fair deiuand for cattle, but prices realised were not too good. The following are the prices realised:—Sheep: Pat ewes, 19s. Id.; forward store ewe's, 13s. lOd. to 14s. Id.; 6* tooth ewes in la-rab, 19s. 2d.; f.f.ra. ewes (empty), 15s. Id.;-2-tooth wethers, 15s. 7d., 16s. 6d., 17s. 3d., 18s. Id., 18s. 3d., 20s. 4d., to 2Cs.' 10d.; 2-tooth ewes and wethers, 19s. 5d.; 4-tooth to f.m. ewes, 15s. 2d., to 15c. 6d.j 2-tooth to s*vear ewes, 13e. 6d.; f.m. ewes, Bs., 9e. 7d., 10s. 3d., to lis. Id.; 4 and 5-year ewes, in lamb, 16s. 7d.; woolly lambs, lis. Bd.; shorn lambs, lis. Id. to 13s. 3d.; small, 7s. id. to 9s. 3d.; b.f. lambs. 12s. Bd. to 13s. 9d.; small. 7s. 2d. Cattle: 4-year bullocks, £9 155.; fat heifers, £5 35., £5 175., to £6 55.; store cows, £2 12s. 6d., £3 35., to £3 12s. 6d.; 2J-year steel's, £5 135.; 18-months steers, £3 35., £3 55., £3 10s., to £4 lie. 6d.; cows in calf, low-condition, £2 10s. to £2 12s. 6d.; 2-year heifers, £3 55.; raothcr-reared weanors (mi-xed), oßs. 6d. to 4fa.; i?tccr calves,, 265. to 315.; heifer calves, 10s., 125., 165., to ißs.: , The ??ew Zealand Loan and Mercantile ' Agency Company, Ltd.. report:—On Tues- 1 day .we held a successful Kale of dairy stock on account of Mr. A.
