ASSOCIATION
LOCAL CONTROL MEET. Mr. A. E. Wells presided at the first meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association last evening. An application by the Meiling Club (Lower Hutt) for registration ol their colours (black and white) was granted. Several clubs applied for playing grounds for Saturday next. The arrangements have been left in the hands of the secretary. A letter was received from the secretary of the New Zealand Patriotic Society suggesting that a benefit match, Cormthams and Wanderers versus a First Divisionteam—should be played in aid of the Belgian Fund. After discussion it was decided that the suggestion could not be entertained, but that permission would be granted for Corinthains to play Wanderers. A deputation from the Saturday Halfholiday Committee was received, and it was decided to support the Saturday proposal. It was decided that the Wellington Referees' Association be written to asking when the annual meeting will be held. it was resolved that the Canterbury Football Association bo asked to send a team to play Wellington on June 3.
