BURNSIDE MARKETS. .(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ' Dunedin, April 14. At Burnside to-day 210 fat cattle were yarded. The greater part consisted of cows, heifers, and light bullocks, not many heavy prime bullocks heing offered. Prices on the whole remained at last week's values. Prime bullocks, £13 10s., £14, extra to £15 10s, medium £9 ss. to £10 7s. 6d.; prime cows and heifers, £8 12s. fid. to £9 17s. 6d., extra to £11 12s. 6d., medium £6 15s. to £7 17s. 6d., light and aged £5 ss. to £6 15s.

Fat sheep—s6oo yarded. Prime wethers were in short supply, and consequently tho demand for this class was brisk at Is. under last week's values. On account of the freezing works being practically blocked, export buyers were in a position to secure only a few pens, and as the supply was much beyond butchers' requirements a drop of 3s. 6d. to' 4s. per head on last week' 6 rates wee recorded, - and even at the reduccd values sales were difficult to effect, a-number of sheep being turned out unsold. Prime wethers, 22b. 6d. to 245. 9d., extra to 275., medium 20s. to 21e. 9d.;■ prime ewes,, 19d. to 225. 3d., .extra to 265. 3d., medium' lfc. to 17s. 9d„ light 12s. 6d; to 14s. Fat lambs—lsoo yard fid, made up largely of medium-weight and unfinished sorts, and as export buyers had only a limited amount of epa<;e allotted to them bidding was slow, prices being fully is. 6d. per head under last week's values. But for the competition of graziers a much greater fall would have been recorded. Heavy prime, 18s. to 19s. 3d., extra. 225. 6d., medium 16s. 3d. to 17s. 6d., light and unfinished lis. to 13s, 6d. Pigs—ss stores and 62 fats yarded. Baconers met with strong competition, .and realised advanced prices. Porkers also met with a good sale, but stores and weaners were not in request, and showed little improvement.
