LOWER HUTT COURT
' At the Lower Hutt Court yesterday, before Mr. Gr. Cruicksliank, S.M., William Ollivor was convicted and fined 10s. for being on licenced promises during prohibited hours. Mr. I'. AV. Jackson appeared for defendant. F. Meyrick was proceeded against by the Inspector of Awards (Mr. W. Salter) for tailing to provide his drivers with time-books,_ as stipulated by the award. A line of £5 was imposed. On a charge of failing to keep wages and time-books, Meyrick was convicted and discharged, l'or failing to render personal service as required by the Defence Act, Clias. Polo and Win. Fitzmanrice were each fined £3 and costs 75., in default seven days' detention. Awh.
