A STRANDED GERMAN
SUED FOR'RENT AND POSSESSION. (By Telegraph.—Presa Association.* Timaru, April 14. A German named Carll was sued by his landlord'for rent and possession. The tenant pleaded that he had been ill for eleven months, and that for a longer term he had been unable to obtain work. He had asked the Defence authorities to intern him or penr.it him to leave the Dominion, and both requests were refused. The Charitable Aid Board refused him assistance. He bad a son who had done the service required of Territorials. The Magistrate said he had no option but to grant tho order.
