Three children—William Muril, Doris Muril, and Nettie Davidson—were playing together, when a terrifio explosion was heard. The boy had both his hands blown off, his neck broken, and sustained wounds on the body. Nettie Davidson was critically injured in one leg and in the abdomen. The other child was badly bruised. It appears that the boy was playing, on the banks of the river and found a live shell, which, when tampered with, exploded. DEMAND FOR MORE TONNAGE TO MEET JAPAN'S TRADE WITH AUSTRALIA.
