"A MAGNIFICENT LIE"

GERMAN ACCOUNT OF NEUVE CHAPELLE. London, April 12. "Eye-Witness," referring to the statements in German newspapers, that the English at Neuve Chapelle drove the Sikhs and Gurkhas, with uplifted hands, in front of them, thus preventing the Germans from firing, and al6o similarly using German prisoners, describes the story as "a magnificent lie." He also quotes an officer's statement in the "Frankfort Gazette," that 250 English, disguised in German greatcoats, induced a party of German soldiers to join them, and then shot them down.
