Forbes, Senior Whip for the Opposition party, made certain genoral remarks deprecating tho obtrusion of party politics, and urging that at the present timo there should be only one party throughout the Empire. He was convinced, he said, that Mr. Massey and his Government should be left in undisturbed possession of the Treasury benches throughout the period of the war. He also paid a tribute to the arduous and good work that had been done by Mr. Masscy during the difficult period through which the Dominion in common with tho rest of the Empire had been passing.
