Tho couple were devoted to each other, and Madame, accidentally healing where her husband was stationed, left her three small children in the South of Fiance) and came to Compeigne, She obstinately refused to go horn* when she learned that no wives were permitted to remain near their husbands, and the commanding officer, threatened a court-martial and the withdrawal of Captain Herail's Legion of Honour decoration.
