According to a Press Association message received by the Now Zealand Shipping Company a head office at Christchurch their chartered steamer Wirral, which cleared' Wellington on February 10, arrived at London on April 8. TWO NEW ZEALAND STEAMERS SOLD. Two more of the F. aad S. lineTS are reported to have changed hands. These are the Nairnshire and the Morayshire. It is ■understood that the vessels have passed into the Blue Star Line. Like the Buteshire and the Banffshire, which have also been sold, the two steamers are well-known in New Zealand, having traded fairly regularly to these 6hores. The Admiralty and the War Offico have commandeered so many of the great engineering and shipbuilding works in the United Kingdom that many contracts for new merchant ships have been suspended. She i© due.hero on April 20, and on completion of discharge will commence loading for London The fixed white light on the Napier bluff has been changed to an occulting white light, showing J second light followed by 7.J seconds darkness. The power of the light has been considerably increased, and it is estimated that it is risible-for a distance of 19 miles.
