This is tlie earliest day on which nominations can close according to the Act, and it has been decided 011 in order to give as much time as possible for tho printing of tlie necessary voting papers: Already many nomination papers have been issued by tho Chief Returning Officer in connection with the various elections, indicating that the number of candidates is likely to exceed that of any previous election. . The election takes place on Wednesday, April 28.
