RUIN AND DEATH IN THE GERMAN TRENCHES. (Rec. April 10, 1.20 a.m.) London, April 9. Two lists of the British casualties at Neuve Chapelle contain 1877 names.. The British bombardment created tremendous havoc in the German trenches. Whole traverses wore blown away, and ■most of the dugouts were wrecked. A card pavty of five Germans were found sitting in their natural poses, asphyxiated by the lyddite fumes. One of them was about to pJay tho ace of spades.
