MR. MASSEY AND ALLEGED EXPLOITATION
4 PREMIER WANTS EVIDENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Ghrlstchurch, April 8. The Prime Minister arrived from the north this morning. He received a private deputation and afterwards left to attend the Cheviot Show. To-morrow he will attend a meeting of representatives'of the meat freezing industry, returning to Wellington in the evening. Interviewed in regard to the motion of the Timber Workers' Conference condemning the Government for failing to protect people from exploitation. Mr. Massey said: "Let . them bring along their evidence. It's useless to make general statements, no. matter how sweeping." Mr, Massey stated that'he had not yet made up his mind whether to attend the Premiers' Conference, as suggested by Mr. Andrew Fisher, Federal Premier.
