AVAR' LETTERS TO GERMANY. London, April 7. A German officer's letter in the "Cologne Gazette" furnishes an example of the coloured reports which aro being circulated in Germany. .He declares that ho was commanding Fort Ramidieh, in the Dardanelles, and that his gunners quickly sank the Bouvet, Irresistible, and Ocean when they came within range. He adds that nearly all' the attacking ships were damaged, and that the tort was promptly repaired.—"Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.
