CABINET'S VIEWS.
ALL-ROUND PROHIBITION IMPRACTICABLE. (Reo. April 8, 0.45 a.m.) London, April 8. It is understood that Cabinet has considered tlio question of all-round prohibition, and decided that this would bo impracticable, and uncalled for at present-, but it is in favour of the prohibition of wines and spirits, the encouragement of lighter beers by a compulsory reduction in the strength of the liquor, and further restrictions oil the sale of intoxicants in the military 1 and munition manufacturing areas. 'J'he Government is sounding the Opposition regarding the necessary legislation.
