At the opening of the Plimmer-Hall Company's patriotic season in Auckland, Sir. Arthur Myers, M.P., made a speech eulogising the efforts that are being made by the New Zealand actor-managers to raise funds for the distressed' Belgian population. There will be a musical festival in the Town Hall on Saturday, April 17, and, the Commissioner will conduct special services in the Citadel cn the Sunday morning and in the Grand Opera House in the evening. There will be an open-air demonstration in the Basin Reserve in the afternoon, if wet m the Citadel. On the Monday evening a young people's demonstration will be held, and 011 the closing day, Thursday, April 22, "a day with God" will he held in the Citadel.
