GERMAN OFFICERS ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE
TUNNELLED TWELVE YARDS. (Rcc. April 7j 8.5 p.m.) London, April 7. An attempt by a hundred German officers of some distinction to escape from the detention camp near Maidenhead was foiled. They tunnelled twelve jards, and pierced a concrete wall.
