THE ATTACK ON THE DARDANELLES
GERMAN OFFICER'S STORY (Rec. April 7, 0.15 a.m.) London, April' 6. The "Cologne Gazetto" publishes a German 'officer's 'account of the bombardment of.the Chanak forts in tile Dardanelles. He claims that the forts sunk tho-French warship Bouvct, and tho British ships Irresistible and Ocean. He describes tho heavy dam? ape which was inflicted by the Allies' shells, hut, ho adds: ''We were able to restore the forts to a workable condition."
