MIRAMAR CLUB. A very successful Easter Tournament was concluded'at Miramar yesterday, when two events were played off. In the morning the men's foursome was won by M. W. Horton and A, B. Lawrence (handicap 2), with a score of 2 up. In the afternoon a mixed foursome was played, the winners being Miss M. Seed and W. T. Wynyard (handicap (9), 3 up on "bogy." JOHNSONVILLE CLUB. An interesting series of competitions were got oft' by the Johnsonville Golf Club. yesterday. In the morning the men played a handicap medal round, which was. won by Mr. V. A. Mills. 94 —22—72, with A. Moore, 89—16—73 second. In the afternoon a bogy round was played by the men, the winners being Mr. Alec Moore, three up, and Mr. A. M. Adams, one up. The ladies' contests were two handicap medal rounds. In the morning the winner was Miss Batharn, 84, first, and Miss Price, 85, second. In the afternoon Mrs. Buddlo was the wiuiior with 81, and for second place Miss Price and Miss Tunifer tied, with 89 each. 1 AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP. • (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, April 5. The Auckland provincial championship and handicap meeting was continued today. In the first round of the championship N. R. Macintosh beat W. H. Grace, W. R. Colbeck beat J. C. Burns, F. J. Sharland beat S. Upton, W. Pryde beat P. Hay,, S. Morpeth 'beat R. 0. Gardner, H. C. Tunks beat C. F. Gardner, R. M. George beat J. B. Lu'sk, W. S. Ralph beat D. M'Cormick. In the second round M'Cormick .beat Colbeck, Sharland beat Pryde,' Morpeth beat Tunks, and Ralph beat George. M'lntosh will meet Sharland, and Morpeth will- meet Ralph in' the semi-final to-morrow morning. W. S;,'Colbeck with a handicap of eight strokeseasily won the bogy handicap, and finished-with a score of 5 up. The four-ball (best ball) bogy handicap was won - by S. Upton and It. G. Rainger, 7 .up. .. SOUTHLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. InveroargllJ, April 5. At the Eaßter golf tournament at Invercargill the championship o£ ' Southland was won by Dr. Ross, Dunedin, who beat Ernest Smith, 13 up arid 12 to play. Dr. Ross oreated a record by doing the first eighteen holes in 73—a remarkably fine performance considering the state of the weather and the rough condition of certain parts'of tlie course.
