Sentenoe of two months' imprisonment has been passed on an interned alien who wrote in invisible ink a letter to his sister in Austria stating that prisoners were treated like pigs, and making unfounded oomplaints as to tho quality of the food. , M. Brian, the French Minister of Justice, has prepared a bill with the object of enabling soldiers at the fnjnt to contract marriage by proxy. Such marriages will be celebrated with the ordinary formalities, except that a legal representative will replace the soldier.
