MASTERTON NOTES
9 The Mastertou Bowling Club defeated a team from Lyall Bay on Friday by seven points in the aggregate. At the annual meeting of shareholders in tho Success Gold Mining Company, Mr. John Hessey was elected sole director. It has boon decided to endeavour to transfer the office of the company from the-West Coast to Masterton.
The Mastorton Homing Pigeon Club flew a race from Ward, in tbe Marlborough district, during tbe holidays. This was won by Messrs. Drake Bros. A team from the Ramblers Hockey Club, of Wellington, defeated a Maßterton team on Friday by two goals to one. Tho exhibition of hockey was not by any means attractive. The weather for the holidays lias been line, though cold and windy.
