During the wool sales there was sold for Home consumption 109,000 bales, for the Continent 12,000, for the United States 5000, while 18,000 were held over. Compared with last sales' closing Tates prices for best greasy merinos were unchanged, but for average and faulty they declined by 7j per cent., and for sconreds from id. to Id. All crossbreds met with increasingly keen demand. Pine advanced by 5 per cent., medium and coarse by 10 per cent., and scoured elipes by 5 per cent. Prices for lambs' merino were unchanged. Crossbreds advanced by 10 ner cent. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the clips named:— "Euglo," top- price 12d„ average 103 d.; "Billabong," 15d. and 123 d.; "Murawombie," 12id. and llgd.: "Morenbah." 15d. and 13 3-Bd.; "Alice Downs," 15d. and 125 d.; "Westlflnd," 14d. and 113 d.: "Dalgi," 13»rt. and 125 d.; "Mondooroo," 23d. and 26\d.
