VON DER GOLTZ'S VISIT TO BERLIN RAISING MONEY FOll TURKEY,: (Rec. April 1, 5.20 p.m.) London, April 1. It is reported in Copenhagen that Germany lias already advanced Turkey forty millions sterling, and that Field-Marshal Von der Goltz is endeavouring to for an additional twenty-live millions; otherwise Turkey, as she is threatening, may be compelled to malco peace with her assailants oil any terms, —"Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services. HIS OPINION OF THE DARDANELLES DEFENCES. (Dec. April 1, 5.20 p.m.) London, April 1. Reports from Bucharest state that Field-Marshal Von der Goltz, interviewed prior to his departure for Berlin, declared that the defences of tho Dardanelles had proved more effective than he expected, and tho new attack would lio awuited without fear.
