EASTER ATTRACTIONS
IN AND ABOUT WELLINGTON. 'After a brief spell of distinctly wintry weather, bright, warm weather is being experienced in Wellington, and the hope is expressed that it may last over the Easter holidays in order that those who are to gain a few days' respite from work may make the most of it: _ All classes of the community are being -well catered for during tho holidays. The tennis community will doubtless interest _ themselves in the Wellington Association's tournament at Day's Bay on Friday. Saturday, »nd Monday, and on Easter Saturday the members of the Wellington Golf Club will drop the clubs for tho nonce and tako up the racquet, a tennis tournament having been arranged for. The Miramar. Golf Club have arranged a tournament, for holiday time, and the Wellington Bowling Centre will play through a Pairs Tournament on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, all entrance money to go to the Belgian Fund. The sporting community will hay# the. Tauherinikau (Featherston) Taces for their delectation on Saturday and Easter Monday, and the Feilding meeting will commence on the Monday. Oft Monday, too, the Union Company will dispat-ch the Wahine on an all-day excursion to Picton. The chief theatrical attraction will be the return of Miss Nellie Stewart in "Du Barry," which will receive its Wellington premiere at the Grand Opera House on Saturday evening. A good vaudeville programme will be presented at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday and Monday evenings, and specially-selected programmes of the latest _ pictures will be presented at the King's, Everybodv's. the People's Picture Palace, and the Empress.
