CASUALTIES TO THE BRITISH REGIMENTS
SOME APPALLING GAPS (Rec. April I, 1.5 a.m. London, March 31. The Archbishop of York, speaking at Hull, said that the casualty lists which were published did not bring before the imagination of the people what was really happening. One division, which had 400 officers, had now only 44 left, and out of its 12,000 men, 2330 were left. In one regiment only th» quarter-master and 300 men remained.
