I AEAWA REPORTED. ' A Press Association message from Mel- , bourne states that the Shaw-SaviU liner Arawa has arrived there from Liverpool, via Adelaide. The vessel's next port of, , call is Sydney. On completion of dis- : charge at Australian ports the Arawa will come across to New Zealand to load, sail- 1 ing finally for London early in May. MAMABI LEAVES LONDON. After a delay of eight days the ShawSavill liner Mamari left London on March 27 for Cape Town, Hobart, and Wellington in place of R.M.S. Arawa. The Mamar! is expected to arrive at Wellington on or about May 12. PAKEHA TO LOAD. Running a day early, the Union Company'«j Tarawera will leave Wellington for northern porta to-day. She will overcarry Gisbornc cargo, and land it on her southern run next trip. The Monowoi will leave Wellington for northern porte on Saturday; April 3. The small steamer Kuia, which left Wei-, lington for Wanganui at 5.10 p.m. yester-" dav, returned to port at about 10 p.m. in order to havo ccrtain repairs effected. Tho collier Whan gape is cxoected to leave for Newcastle to-morrow. She has been lixod to load for the Bluff. Transhipments ex the Japanese steamer Kerahin Mar.u will be taken on to Napier from Wellington by the Kittewo- to-day. Continuing her journey from Greymouth tho Arahura. left Westport at 10 a.m. yesterday for Nelson, Picton, and Wellington. She should arrive in port about tho utmal time this evening. Advices have been received that two wellknown Federal and Shire linere—the Buteshire and tho Banffshire—are reported to have been eold. The purchasers of the Buteshire are Messrs. Houlder Bros, and Co.. London, who, it is stated, have paid about £40,000 for the vessel. The Banffshire hee been sold to British oivnere. Both vessels wore built by Messrs. Hawthorn, Leslie and Co., Newcastle, the Bute}'e (5583 tons) in 1593, and the Banffshire w/a6 tons) a year later.
