MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE

The Reserves Committee reported as follows to the City Council last oven'n£: "That they obtained a report from Messrs. A. Duncan, J. Marchbanks (golf amateurs), and Messrs. Douglas and Watt (golf professionals) on tile three suggested sites for the formation of a municipal golf course, viz., Berhampore, Kilbirnie, awl Lyall Bay. The report unanimously favours the formation of the Berhampore course on tho Town Belt. The committed have to recommend that tho city engineer bo instructed to proceed with the constructional work immediately, and that letters of thanks bo forwarded to those golf players who so kindly placed their 'services at tho committee's disposal." Tho report was adopted.
